Painting is not just my escape - it is a practice. My work is the result of balancing creativity, play, and discipline. The ultimate goal while I'm painting is to reach a genuine flow state, a joyful and intentional immersion into my work. With this approach, I find it easier to receive inspiration. And as an artist, I find the majority of my inspiration from the natural world.

Living in coastal Georgia, I am surrounded by a uniquely beautiful environment. My work as a kayak tour guide allows me to explore these natural spaces more intimately, and I try my best to convey the subtle magic found within these spaces. Afternoon light shining through palmetto fronds, Spanish moss draped over strong limbs of oak trees, and lush fields of spartina grass swaying with the tide - these are all elements of the Golden Isles, which I am lucky enough to call home.

My earliest memories are centered around artistic expression. I distinctly remember seeing Van Gogh's sunflowers and Monet's lily pads as a young child, mesmerized by the use of color, texture, and movement. This would spark a life-long journey to forging my own path as an artist, eventually earning a Bachelor's degree in Art from Troy University. I currently live and work in Brunswick, Georgia.
